NEWSFLASH - Tree Day Planting and celebration

NEWS FLASH Our face painting expert, Linda, will NOT be able to attend the Tree Day Planting & Celebration, sorry kids. However, as a special treat, a coffee truck will be on site during the morning supplying free hot drinks for the planters. This, along with the Free BBQ and entertainment courtesy of our raving musician, Edvardo, the planting surely will be an enormous success. According to the Weather Bureau, Sunday will be 15 degrees Celsius with a slight chance of a shower so all’s good for a pleasant planting and celebration of the Kororoit Creek environment. Friends of Lower Kororoit Creek (FOLKC) was incorporated in April 2001 and held its first planting on 3rd June 2001. Since then there have been countless planting days and other working bees with more than 1,000 volunteers of all ages, planting in excess of 50,000 trees, shrubs and under-storey plants along the creek ...
