Friends of Lower Kororoit Creek (FOLKC) is pleased to announce that this year, in partnership with our major sponsor Toyota Australia, it is planning another important celebration and planting. This event will take place along the Kororoit Creek and will be part of Planet Ark’s National Tree Day 2018.
The day will commence at 9am on 3 June 2018, meeting at the Barnes Road bridge car park in Barnes Road, Altona North, and planting approximately 300 metres downstream south west of the bridge. Mel Ref 54: D 4.

Some of the activities planned on the day include:
· The planting of approximately 500 indigenous trees & shrubs;
· Face painting activities for the children by Linda;
· Free tea and coffee and drinks;
· Free BBQ made available during the planting catered by FOLKC members and Hobsons Bay Rangers & sponsored by Cedar Meats Australia; and
· Edvardo and accordion on site to entertain the attendees.
It is anticipated that the event will conclude around 1pm.
If you were among the participants who attended last year and come to this year’s planting, you will be amazed by the changes in the environment along Kororoit Creek, thanks to your efforts last year.
