Special planting day with the Governor

Special planting today down on Kororoit Creek by Her Excellency Linda Dessau A.C., Governor of Victoria, her husband Anthony Howard QC, and 32 Government House staff.

It was an honour and a privilege to have them on site.

Special thanks to FOLKC members, Hobsons Bay Council, Melbourne Water, and DELWP staff who assisted in making this day a fantastic success.

Special thanks also to Hobsons Bay Mayor Sandra Wilson and artist Geoffrey Ricardo for their support, and to Edvardo who brightened up a happy day. Thanks also to Cedar Meats for helping with the delicious BBQ

Hello FOLKC!

Friends of Lower Kororoit Creek (FOLKC) was incorporated in April 2001 and held its first planting on 3rd June 2001. Since then there have been countless planting days and other working bees with more than 1,000 volunteers of all ages, planting in excess of 50,000 trees, shrubs and under-storey plants along the creek ...
