National Tree Day 2019 & Park Opening

Great News. Greater Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust (GMCT) CEO, Jacqui Weatherill, has agreed to combine National Tree Day with the official community park opening. The Planet Ark National Tree Day will be on 28 July 2019 where in excess of 2600 indigenous Trees and shrubs will be planted into the Kororoit Creek environment below the escarpment that would have housed the original Creek Course before settlement.

GMCT, along with Melbourne Water, Toyota Australia, Hobsons Bay City Council, Cedar Meats are sponsoring this FREE event.

Edvardo will be there to entertain and a great day is in the offing to all who attend.

FOLKC is hoping that Hon Jill Hennessy MP, will be on hand, with GMCT's Jacqui Weatherill, to officially launch the Park as a community space.

Put the 28 July 2019 in the diary for an outstanding Hobsons Bay National Tree Day celebration.
