Hi all environmental friends -FOLKC will be holding our monthly maintenance day at last years National Tree Day site at the bottom of McArthurs Rd North Altona.. What a hugh success this planting has been - the trees are literally `taking off' - most of the plants are well above the tree guards thanks to the regular watering that has occurred during the drought months over summer. It is now time to remove the plastic tree guards - due to the size of some of these plants, we will need to cut the plastic guards, so bring along a small knife or stanley knife for this job. A B-B-Q will be held by our friendly Ranger, Libby from Hobsons Bay Parks. All welcome, so come along for a friendly environmental day.
